Beauty, Wellness & Pregnancy with Yasmine Smatti

Pregnancy changes everything…

Pregnancy can change everything—the way you live, the way you eat, the way you view the world—however it doesn’t alter the truth that everyone, especially moms-to-be, need to pamper themselves.

As a mum, former beauty guru, and entrepreneur, L’Atlier Green founder, Yasmine Smatti is able to offer an expert opinion on caring for your body when it is going through its most dramatic changes - such as being pregnant. Whilst no two experiences are the same, particularly when it comes to some thing as life-changing and personal as turning into a new mother, there are still some key things that can be done to boost both your mental and physical health during this time!

Tip 1: What you eat is key, as are your beauty products!

During pregnancy it is key to eat healthily and really focus on what your body needs - Yasmine suggests tailoring your diet food to your own particular genetics. After getting the outcomes of her genetic testing, she sat down with a gene professional to analuse which food groups she needed to focus on to best fuel her body.

It is also key that during pregnancy, women pay particular attention to their beauty regime, focusing on using products with fewer chemicals. Studies show that chemicals in nail varnishes pass through to the bloodstream; with L’Atelier Green there is no need to worry as we are proudly 13-free and bio-sourced!

After giving birth, the hormones level drop which can lead to weak nails – Yasmine found L’Atelier Green nail treatments to be a miracle product during this time!

Tip 2: Treat yourself as your most treasured investment.

“Take care of yourself so you can in the end love other humans more.” Yasmine gives us the simple but essential reminder that in order to help others we first have to care for ourselves. Taking the time for yourself is so critical to connecting with others.

You are your greatest tool to wellness.

Tip 3: Respect your frame’s needs when working out.

No one is aware of you better than yourself. After years of pushing herself more difficult in every and each workout, pregnancy in the end made Yasmine cutting down her gym regime and take a small break. When her body was telling her it needed something different, she listened, adapting her fitness routine to respect what she was becoming; a new mum.

So ladies, just remember every body is different, make sure you listen to yours!

Lots of love
